Emergency dentistry

In the event of an EMERGENCY during our opening hours, please call us on 044 910 50 03

Outside our opening hours, the SSO emergency dentist on duty in the region will look after you. Call the regional emergency center 0848 000 027 or the cantonal emergency center 0800 33 66 and ask for the emergency dentist on duty.

Tooth injuries

Completely knocked out teeth must not be cleaned, but must be placed immediately in a tooth rescue box, which is available in our dental clinic or in pharmacies. If no tooth rescue box is available, the tooth can be placed in cold UHT milk for a short time. However, this is only suitable for a few hours. In any case, a dentist should be contacted immediately, as replantation is possible. Larger tooth fragments should be collected and also brought along. Our dental team will be happy to advise you.

Toothache

If you have a toothache, don’t hesitate to contact us immediately – we are available for you around the clock. Possible causes include gum problems, inflammation, small tooth fractures, tooth decay or defective fillings. Complaints can also occur after treatment. Regardless of the cause, we find the trigger and treat the problem specifically.

Bleeding

Bleeding can occur after an accident, which in many cases can be stopped by applying pressure with a bandage. In the case of larger open wounds, a tetanus vaccination may be advisable – consult your family doctor. If symptoms such as dizziness or vomiting occur, a concussion may be present. In this case, contact your family doctor or the nearest hospital immediately.

Knocked out teeth

If a tooth is completely knocked out, it is crucial to keep it and put it in milk as quickly as possible. Alternatively, it can also be transported in the mouth. Visit our dental clinic in Küsnacht as soon as possible. The tooth must not be cleaned or stored in water, and the root of the tooth should not be touched. Report the incident to your accident insurance company – we will help you fill out the accident form and forward it to them.
